Call for Nominations

Global and Multicultural Education

(G.A.M.E.)

for

Peace Builder Award 2008

 

G.A.M.E., founded in 1982, is a non-profit membership organization with the primary purpose of building grassroots public support to promote international and intercultural understanding.  We are requesting your help in nominating a qualified individual and/or organization for our annual PEACE BUILDER AWARD.

The qualities we are looking for in a nominee include:

§        Made a significant contribution to global and intercultural understanding;

§        Demonstrated these contributions through personal, political, and/or educational activities;

§        Shown to be a visionary force in the area of environmental justice; and

§        Exhibited a clear commitment to a more just and equitable world.

 

Specific requirements for a complete nomination are:

 1. Letter of nomination written by the nominator describing in some detail how the nominee has exhibited the qualities listed above. This would include examples of the nominee's activities and/or work, etc. Maximum of two pages please.

2. Optional items helpful to the review process: 
a) Resume or vita of nominee;

   b) Letter in support of the nomination from a knowledgeable person.

NOTE: The annual Peace Builder Award Luncheon is scheduled on Saturday, November 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Figlio Italian Restaurant, 209 W. 46th Terr., Kansas City, MO (Country Club Plaza).  Silent auction/multicultural items.  Cost per person:  $25.00.
